June 26, 2022 Stress Buster Ride

You may not know but along with writing and talking about PTSD, I’ve personally managing my own PTSD challenge since my Vietnam tours followed by my prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment.

My personal best stress buster is physical activity and my preferred activity is cycling.  It puts me outside and I don’t need to think about anything other than turning the pedals and enjoying the environment I’m passing through.

As I’m still working – most of us are:-) – Sunday morning is the day for my long ride which usually is around 30-35 miles.  The total time on the bike is roughly three hours with a stop at the Starbucks at the base of the climb up the the crest of Palos Verdes.

Cycling might just work for you.  Check out our post on how to get started in cycling.

If you’re already cycling and using Strava.com, please join out group – Vets Riding for Vets.

Allez-y!
